Under the supervision of the President of the University of Karbala, Professor Dr. Bassem Khalil Nayel Al-Saidi, with the attendance of the Scientific Assistant of University of Karbala, Professor Dr. Najm Abdul Hussein, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Al-Mahanna, following by the Head of the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering, Assistant Professor Dr. Muslim Mohsen Al-Sharifi, the Robotics Laboratory was opened in its new building on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 after making many modifications and additions that serve the students and the scientific progress of the department and college. The Mechanical Behavior Laboratory was also opened after rehabilitating and providing sufficient spaces to accommodate students and staff together as part of a developements carried out by the department. The PO Engineering department is a bright interface for the the College of Engineering and for the university in general. The President of the University also praised the efforts made by the engineering and technical staff in the department because of its great and effective role in developing the practical side of students coming to the department and qualifying students in the academic stages and preparing them for work.
